A Look Inside Forth, Atlanta’s Newest Hangout in the Old Fourth Ward – Garden & Gun

Atlanta is full of cool new hotel concepts. And while the most luxurious ones tend to open north of the city in Buckhead, the Forth Hotel and Social Club is already profoundly different simply because it exists in the hip and historic Old Fourth Ward. Forth is nestled in the middle of the historic Fourth Ward Park, Ponce City Market, and the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, and is near the beloved Three Parks Wine Shop.

From the outside, the 189,000-square-foot diagrid structure is reminiscent of Manhattan’s iconic Hearst Tower. But once inside, you’ll be transported to a refined, sensual setting with a contemporary Parisian touch and plenty of conversation pieces, like the stuffed fox diorama at the check-in counter. Morris Adjmi Architects designed the 196-room hotel (in collaboration with Philadelphia-based hospitality and development firm Method Co.). The team is known for notable projects like the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, the Four Seasons Charleston Hotel & Residences, and the Goodtime Hotel in Miami. The Forth’s guestrooms are a testament to both firms’ focus on luxe touches big and small, from floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the park’s lush canopy to the decadent hinoki-scented bath products in Le Labo’s bathrooms.

But Forth isn’t just a hotel. The sixteen-story structure combines wellness initiatives, striking design, ample food and beverage options, and a focus on social connection—a combination that hasn’t really existed for Atlantans until now. Atlanta travelers know we don’t have a Soho House, and while Forth isn’t trying to replicate Soho, it certainly shares a few traits with that famous members-only club. According to the website, Forth hopes to attract “creators and innovators from all walks of life,” and membership includes access to the rooftop pool and fitness center with its steam room, cold plunge pool, dry sauna, and yoga and pilates classes.

Elektra, the poolside restaurant and bar, recently opened for breakfast, dinner, and light snacks exclusively for hotel guests and members. Bar Premio, a day-and-night space on the ground floor, is a café that serves La Colombe coffee, pastries, salads, and sandwiches every morning. It will eventually transform into a wine bar with live music in the evenings, and is open to the public. Later this summer, Moonlight, a ’70s-inspired rooftop bar for members only, will also open. It will feature a mid-century design with brown leather sofas, velvet lounge chairs, glass blocks, pink and white tiled floors, and acrylic tables.

But the most exciting space might be Il Premio, the upcoming Italian restaurant and piano bar on the ground floor. The hoteliers are promising a chic space adorned with chandeliers and a vintage player grand piano—the kind of restaurant where Atlantans will want to dine with friends, family, and lovers, or even alone to soak up the scene from a barstool. While we don’t have any clues yet about the chef, we do know that the restaurant plans to serve homemade pastas and Italian wines.
