Man shot in Washington Parish, authorities say | Crime/Police

A man found dead near Franklinton had been shot multiple times, according to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The man’s body was found behind his home in the 1200 block of South Choctaw Road on Friday and authorities are now searching for Clois Clifton Blackledge III, who is considered a person of interest in the case.

Blackledge was last seen riding a black and silver Honda motorcycle that may have recently been repainted white, authorities said.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.

The fatal shooting followed a fatal double shooting on Wednesday in Mount Hermon Parish. According to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, a 23-year-old man admitted to investigators that he shot his grandparents.
