Mountain lion killed by car on Freeway 405 – NBC Los Angeles

The California Highway Patrol said a mountain lion was struck and killed by a car on the 405 Freeway near the Getty Museum Thursday afternoon.

According to the CHP, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m.

CHP confirmed that the dead mountain lion was located on the median guardrail of the highway.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife was on its way to the scene of the accident.
