Nick Cannon: Diddy’s attack on Casse was “disgusting and monstrous”

Nick Cannon is the latest celebrity to speak out about Diddy’s behavior toward Cassie. Speaking on The Pivot podcast, Cannon described the moment as “disgusting and monstrous energy,” but also explained that we shouldn’t throw a human being away.

“With all the relationships I’ve had, I can’t judge this man,” Cannon said. “I don’t know what demons he’s battling. I don’t know what he’s going through, but it’s not my job to throw this person away. So my hope is that by building a counseling culture community and creating professionals, doctors and clinicians who can say we all have issues, hopefully we can find a solution.”

“We all struggle with mental health. We all struggle with trauma, and how do we deal with that specifically as black men?”

Cannon also let the curtain fall on his household: “I had to talk to my daughter about it, ‘Dad, that’s your friend,’ and I said, ‘Okay, I know him. I’ve become friends with him. I don’t know this person and I’ve never seen him and I can’t be friends with someone who does something like that, but all we can do is pray for him.'”
