Alex Farell, a medical student from Canton, Mich., and Ginger ten Bensel perform an original song for the Buffalo Commons boosters at a preview Thursday night at the Biroc Café, while headliner Paul Strickland and the Local celebrities John Hubert and Cal Siegfried delight the audience with extravagant songs. or true tales. Ginger ten Bensel and Paul Clark received special storyteller awards for their contribution to the 27-year-old festival. The big weekend kicked off this morning with a bus tour of the area’s stained glass sites, with the Stillhouse Junkies joining the headliners at the Fox Theater at 7:30 tonight. Saturday events are planned for the High Plains Museum, George Norris House, Sehnerts Bakery, McCook Public Library as well as the Sixth Floor Project and ArtBank.
