The Juice Box Public House in downtown Centralia will host a performance by International Acoustic Music Awards grand prize winner and Pittsburgh’s Best Alt-Folk/Alt-Country Band Buffalo Rose at 7 p.m. Thursday, the 23rd. may.

Buffalo Rose “will deliver her rich, charismatic vocal harmonies and meticulously arranged string melodies to Centralia for the first time,” The Juice Box Public House wrote in a press release.

No Depression, an American folk/Americana magazine, wrote: “Listening to Buffalo Rose is like driving on an open road with the windows down, letting the breeze wash over you.” Delicate and wild, prickly and untamed, Buffalo Rose weaves spiraling harmonies and beautifully layered instrumentation with propulsive rhythms while creating a mesmerizing wall of sound that leaves listeners breathless. There is a singular beauty in every Buffalo Rose song.

Portland bluegrass band Fog Holler will join Buffalo Rose for Thursday’s concert.

“If you appreciate that classic nostalgia for mid-century bluegrass legends like Bill Monroe or Earl Scruggs, you won’t want to miss Fog Holler’s banjo and heartbreaking fiddle,” wrote The Juice Box.

The concert will take place at The Juice Box Public House, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Doors open at 6 p.m. Cocktails and dinner from Juice Box chef Carson Lotton will be available for purchase in the concert venue.
