Democrat Jasmine Crockett says Marjorie Taylor Greene was “absolutely” “racist” for attacking her performance at late-night committee hearing and warns: “Don’t come for me.”

Democratic congresswoman Jasmine Crockett reiterated that right-wing rabble-rouser Marjorie Taylor Green is “racist” and warned the Georgia congresswoman: “Don’t come for me” after Greene attacked Crockett’s performance in a late-night hearing.

Crockett, who is Black, went on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday when asked whether Greene had ridiculed her “false eyelashes” during a contempt of Congress hearing against Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday.

“I think she did it specifically to me, yes, that was the intention,” Crockett said in response to a question from host Jake Tapper about whether the attack was racist.

“(Women) wear all sorts of things to beautify themselves, but MAGA has always been on social media doing things where they’re like, ‘Oh, she’s black with eyelashes and nails and hair, so she is.’ a ghetto,” Crockett said.

“To me, that’s why she accepted that rhetoric and tried to amplify it for the MAGA crowd, and that’s why I absolutely believe she did that just to be racist toward me,” Crockett added.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett responds to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s attack on her appearance, insisting it is “absolutely” racist

“It’s a racist stereotype, but the reality is that women of all colors wear eyelashes,” Crockett said.

Crockett said Greene was not punished for her attack during the hearing, so she doesn’t expect any consequences.

“I think the Speaker should have been inclined to rein them in after trying to throw him out of his position, but they just let Marjorie do whatever she wanted, and I think that was the first time anyone actually did “No” said “You’re not just going to treat me any way you want and get away with it.”

Greene addressed Crockett’s appearance during a hearing late Thursday.

“I don’t think you know why we’re here,” Greene said at the hearing before taking aim at Crocketts’ performance. “I think your false eyelashes are confusing what you’re reading.”

Republicans refused to remove Greene’s comments from the record.

At the same hearing, Crockett responded with a question Committee Chairman James Comer on personal attacks: “If anyone on this committee starts talking about someone’s bleach-blonde, poorly built, fleshy body,” whether that would be against the rules.

She didn’t mention Greene by name, but the comment was clearly aimed directly at her.

Crockett said Sunday that she has no regrets about her reaction. She said she signed up to be a member of Congress, but not to be disrespected. She claimed that MAGA does not respect the rules or the law.

On Friday, Crockett responded that Greene was “racist.”

“That means they’re attacking me, really as a black woman, and all they want to do is act like a racist.” That’s it. That’s all it is, racism,” she said.

Crockett also suggested that Greene was likely to raise money through the attack.because the racists will be so happy to give it to her,” noting that Greene has never criticized the looks of any of her other colleagues.

When asked Friday whether personal attacks were allowed after the Georgia Republican ridiculed her appearance, Crockett said, “I don’t think they were ever up for debate.”

“I think that we have someone who is unfit for Congress currently in office and not playing by the rules,” the Democrat said of Greene.

One Saturday, she warned Greene in an MSNBC interview: “Don’t come for me.” That’s all I have to tell her. Don’t come after me.’

The Texas congresswoman is now raising funds for Democrats herself by responding to her own “poorly built, fleshy figure” with the merchandise collection “A Crockett Clapback Collection.”

Progressive “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also clashed with Greene during the hearing when she called for the remarks to be struck from the record.

In a moment that went viral, Ocasio-Cortez responded to Greene: “Oh girl, little girl…don’t even play.”

She said Friday that it was not lost on her that Greene targeted the only Black woman on the committee.

Comer said he couldn’t follow the members’ insults because he had two hearing aids and couldn’t make out what Greene, Crockett and AOC were saying at the time.

There were also allegations that some members drank alcohol before or during the late-night hearing.
