Deadly shooting at Glenwood Liquor Store leaves one dead, suspect in custody (Glenwood, IL) — A tragic incident at Emporium Liquors in Glenwood, IL, resulted in the death of one man and the arrest of another, according to local authorities. The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. tonight at the liquor store located at 339 E. Glenwood Lansing Road.

The victim, an employee of the bar, was fatally injured during an altercation with the suspect. While details are still unclear, Glenwood police have stated that the altercation between the employee and the suspected perpetrator led to the shooting. It is currently unclear if the incident is related to a robbery or another dispute.

Following the incident, Glenwood police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force remained on scene until approximately 10 p.m. Investigators carefully examined the parking lot of the shopping center where the liquor store is located and also searched nearby businesses and homes for eyewitnesses and other evidence.
