Former Pennsylvania fire chief identified as victim of Trump assassination attempt

BUFFALO TWP, PA – A failed assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally for former President Donald Trump has claimed the life of Corey Comperatore, a former Buffalo Township fire chief. Comperatore was fatally wounded while heroically protecting his daughter from gunfire.

Her sister shared a poignant tribute on Facebook, revealing the depth of their loss. “The Trump rally in Pennsylvania took the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore. Hatred for one man took the life of the man we loved most,” she wrote. Describing her brother as a hero, she detailed his final act of protecting his daughter, highlighting the profound impact his loss has had on the family.

His daughter Allyson described her father as “the best father a girl could ask for.”

Comperatore’s father recently celebrated his 50th birthday, a milestone in his tragically cut short life. His sister’s message also highlighted the broader consequences of hate and the enduring power of love. The family is now grappling with a “painful reality” and is asking for prayers for his wife, daughters, mother, sister and extended family during this incredibly difficult time.
