It’s a hot and humid Saturday in Houston with “feels like” temperatures of 109 for the next week.

View our current radar below. We will track a few light showers along the coast throughout the night and expect to see a few more showers coming from the coast through most of the weekend. Nothing too serious overall, fortunately.

Today’s forecast:

Today is going to be a hot and sticky day with “feel” temperatures up to 101 today. We’re watching for the chance of a few isolated showers on Sunday, but overall the forecast is heat. And if you think it’s hot this weekend, it’s only going to get worse, with temperatures expected to reach 109 on Wednesday. Drink plenty of water and make it a habit to always have a bottle of water with you.

Tracking the tropics:

There is a 50% chance of another tropical depression developing in the Bay of Campeche, similar to the location formed by Alberto.

We will follow this one throughout the weekend, however, with the strong high pressure centered over the southeastern United States, it will also head, whatever form the storm takes, towards Mexico, far from the Texas coast.

10-day forecast:

Get out this weekend as the chance of rain remains minimal. Rain chances increase slightly at the start of the week as tropical humidity attempts to organize in the Bay of Campeche.
