Police respond to shooting in north Topeka, victim with life-threatening injuries

TOPEKA (KSNT) – An investigation is ongoing after Topeka police responded to a report of shots fired Tuesday evening.

On June 18, officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to a report of a shooting shortly before 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of Northeast Monroe Street and Northeast Gordon Street.


Upon arrival, officers found a person with a gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital by American Medical Response (AMR) for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

A TPD spokesman said all those involved have been identified and are currently involved in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. 27 News will provide further information as it becomes available.
