Man charged with raping teenager in Rosebery, Sydney

A Sydney man has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a minor after allegedly bringing a 13-year-old girl to his boarding house and raping her.

Glenn Ian Morrison, 52, is accused of giving the girl a drink after meeting her in Manly on Monday and then taking her on public transport to an apartment in Rosebery in Sydney’s south.

According to police, he told a passerby that the girl was his daughter, but investigators claim the two did not know each other.

Morrison was arrested in Rosebery on Thursday and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a victim under 16 and four counts of intentional sexual contact of a child.

The man is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault (victim under 16 years of age) and four counts of intentional sexual touching of a child between the ages of 10 and 16.

He did not apply for bail at the Central Local Court on Friday and is due to appear in court again on October 17.
