Thousands of hikers take historic route to Houston Rodeo

More than 3,000 horse and wagon riders are hitting the roads of Texas this week on 13 different trails en route to Houston.

The five-day, 70-mile ride will converge Friday as riders take part in a parade Saturday leading into the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The annual show will then open on Tuesday and continue until March 20.
