Body found in car at MARTA station identified as missing Atlanta woman

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A body found Friday at a MARTA station in Atlanta is that of a missing Atlanta woman, according to the transit system’s police department.

Around 2 p.m., a MARTA police officer was called in about a “foul-smelling car” at the West End MARTA station.

MARTA police said it was later determined that an “obstructed object” in the back seat was a body.

Atlanta police said the body was identified as Chanell Crosby, 35. Crosby was reported missing by her family on July 14. According to a missing person report, Crosby texted her father to say she was in Macon that day.
