Ribbon cutting to celebrate renovations at Buffalo Creek Park in Coggon – Mix 94.7 KMCH

The Linn County Conservation Council will host a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate new updates to the 143-acre Buffalo Creek Park in Coggon.

New park amenities include the addition of 18 campsites (bringing the total to 31). Updates also include a shower and restroom, an accessible play area with modern features, and a reservable shelter and picnic shelter.

Initial development of this northeast Linn County park began in 1960 – one of the first projects initiated by the Linn County Conservation Council.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Creek Park Shelter along the main entrance road near the playground.
