Man wanted in Texas arrested after standoff in Natchez

NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – A fugitive wanted in Texas was captured in Natchez on Tuesday, May 5.

The Natchez Democrat reported that Eric Harris was found hiding in a home on Martin’s Lane.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said the sheriff’s office received a call from the U.S. Marshal requesting assistance in apprehending Harris. He was wanted in Texas for domestic violence occlusion.

Natchez police also responded to the scene. Harris was arrested after a two-hour standoff.
