Fourth-year offensive lineman named Atlanta Falcons’ most underrated player by PFF

PFF’s Zoltan Buday listed an underrated player to watch for all 32 NFL teams heading into 2024. For the Atlanta Falcons, Buday said interior offensive lineman Drew Dalman was the player most underrated on the list. Atlanta’s offensive line was one of the best units in football, helping the Falcons finish the season among the top ten rushing units. Dalman was one of the main cogs in this machine.

While all of Atlanta’s other offensive linemen were top-40 picks in their draft – including three first-rounders – former fourth-round pick Dalman could have stood out in a negative way, but that didn’t was not the case. The Stanford product built on a promising 2022 campaign and ended up becoming the third-highest rated center in the NFL in 2023 (82.3).

With an experienced signal-caller like Kirk Cousins at the helm, it will only help the center, as he will be able to alleviate some of the pre-snap burden placed on him. Head coach Raheem Morris says one of the pillars of their culture is their physicality. This physical dimension begins in the trenches, especially inside.
