Norwich pediatrician charged with sexual assault and endangerment of minors

NORWICH, Connecticut (WTNH) – A Norwich pediatrician is charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and endangering a minor after turning himself in to police.

According to a press release, Dr. Ravi Prakash of Prakash Pediatrics in Norwich turned himself in to police on June 28 after an investigation gave officers sufficient probable cause to issue an arrest warrant.


On May 2, Norwich Police received a complaint of sexual assault by Prakash and launched an investigation.

According to his practice’s website, “Dr. Prakash has 27 years of experience in pediatrics, including 20 years in child care here in Norwich, Connecticut. With such a track record, you can rest assured that your children are in experienced, capable hands.”

He was released on $50,000 bail.

Prakash is due to appear before Norwich High Court on July 11.
