Bodies found in suburban house after shooting

A man in his 40s and a woman in her 70s were found dead after a shooting in a suburban home north of Brisbane.

Paramedics were called to a property on Jambaroo Street in Albany Creek after receiving reports of a “shooting incident” at around 5.30pm on Sunday.

The man and woman were found with life-threatening injuries and could not be saved.

The police have now declared the crime scene suspicious and are currently investigating the circumstances of the deaths.

Investigators said initial investigations revealed that the two knew each other.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who was in the vicinity of Jambaroo Street before 5:30 p.m. to come forward.

They said there was no danger to the community.
