Houston Crime Stoppers searching for hit-and-run suspect |  Texas

Houston, TX — Local law enforcement and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Houston.

On the evening of May 16, 2024, an unidentified individual struck pedestrian Avehon Robbins with his vehicle in the 4400 block of North Freeway, according to the Houston Police Department’s Vehicle Crimes Division. The suspect, who was driving north on the highway, fled the scene immediately after the incident, leaving Robbins seriously injured. Robbins later succumbed to his injuries.

“Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the indictment and/or arrest of the suspect in this case,” the division said. They encouraged anyone with information to report it by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitting it online at www.crime-stoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app. They emphasized that only tips and calls made directly to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and eligible for a cash reward.
