Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff Visiting Metro Atlanta Tuesday – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Second gentleman Douglas Emhoff will visit metro Atlanta on Tuesday.

The White House confirmed that Emhoff would meet with small business owners. Men4Choice, a group that encourages men to become allies in the fight for abortion rights, also announced that Emhoff would participate on its panel on reproductive health care.

The White House did not release further details about Emhoff’s visit or when he is expected to arrive.

Her trip to metro Atlanta comes just weeks after Vice President Kamala Harris visited Atlanta to promote the Biden administration’s commitment to creating economic opportunity in Georgia’s Black communities.

“The vision for America, which included a vision focused on the fight for civil rights and understanding to achieve true equality, requires an economic agenda,” Harris said.

In response, Georgia Republican Party Chairman Josh McKoon sent a statement saying, “No visit to Georgia will undo the damage caused by their policies. Georgians look forward to a second Trump administration and a return to an economy that benefits everyone.”
