NFTA to temporarily suspend Metro Rail surface service

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The NFTA will temporarily suspend Metro Rail surface service for six days next week.

The break will begin on Tuesday May 28 and last until Sunday June 2.


During the suspension, improvements will be made to the system, including the platform and electrical system.

NFTA will provide shuttle service every 20 minutes between the Allen Medical Campus station and Canalside station. Transit employees will be on hand to assist passengers.
