Pierre was arrested for simple domestic violence and intentional damage to property

A 39-year-old Pierre man is facing charges in Hughes County after Pierre police were called to a disorderly person situation Saturday evening (May 4, 2024, 8:25 p.m.).

Police Department information states that patrol responded to the 200 block of W. Pleasant Drive for a disorderly person breaking glass. When officers arrived, they learned that 39-year-old Adam Montana was drunk and had broken the glass of a fire extinguisher case. During the investigation, officers learned that Montana and a woman had gotten into an argument earlier in the day and Montana had thrown the woman to the ground.

Montana was arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail where he was charged with simple assault and malicious damage to property.
