Man jailed after sexually abusing 17-year-old girl and others in horrific subway attacks

A man was sentenced to sixteen months in prison after sexually assaulting two women and masturbating while riding the subway.

Larry Giromini, 23, was sentenced at the Inner London Court in November after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault, two counts of exposure and one count of breaching public order.

Mr Giromini targeted his first victim after boarding a train to Peterborough at London’s Kings Cross station last December.

He sat opposite a woman and exposed his genitals to her before masturbating.

Two days later, he molested a 17-year-old girl on a Piccadilly Line train near Bounds Green. He placed a piece of cardboard between her legs and began to sexually assault her.

The girl changed places, but he followed her and continued to stare at her.

He then walked over to another woman on the carriage, put his arm around her, leaned against her and smiled at the other victim.

Two women later witnessed Mr Giromini masturbating while standing next to them in a lift at Oxford Circus. He then boarded a Victoria Line train and continued masturbating in front of several passengers.

He was later arrested for all five offenses.

Detective Christopher Pretty, the officer investigating the case, said: “Giromini’s persistent and brazen approach makes it clear that he specifically targeted women for his own sexual gratification.”

“I am pleased to see this dangerous offender behind bars and hope his sentence sends a clear message to offenders that we will take action.

“If you experience or witness a sexual offence on the railway network, I urge you to report it to BTP by texting 61016 or using the Railway Guardian app. Always dial 999 in an emergency.”
