Man fatally shot in Houston, motive unknown | Texas

Houston, TX — A 22-year-old man was found fatally shot on a sidewalk early Wednesday, according to Houston police. The incident happened around 4:20 a.m. at 5899 Bellfort Avenue.

The victim’s identity is still pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective V. Nguyen of the HPD Homicide Division reported that while responding to a shooting call at the above address, HPD patrol officers discovered the victim unconscious on the sidewalk. The man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown and no suspects have been identified at this time.
