Leaked footage shows Israeli soldiers sexually abusing Palestinian prisoners

Leaked footage has emerged showing Israeli soldiers sexually abusing a Palestinian prisoner from Gaza in Israel’s notorious Sde Teiman detention camp.

Security camera footage broadcast by Israel’s Channel 12 shows a group of Israeli reservists selecting a prisoner from over 30 others, all blindfolded and lying on the ground. The prisoner is then taken to a corner.

“It is clear that they know about the surveillance cameras and are trying to cover up their crime with signs,” the report says. “The video contains a documentation of the crime committed by the reservists: the act of sodomy under these circumstances.”

The report said the prisoner was bleeding and was taken to hospital several hours later, where his condition was described as “complex.”

“The injury was caused by the insertion of an object,” the broadcaster quoted a medical report as saying.

Following the arrest of nine soldiers for the July 29 attack, Israeli right-wing protesters, including politicians, stormed two military bases in southern and central Israel.

The Israeli military prosecutor says it is still investigating the incident but has not yet filed charges against the defendants.

In recent months, numerous reports have emerged of mass abuse of Palestinian prisoners from Gaza in Sde Teiman prison in the Negev desert of southern Israel. While Israeli authorities often claim to investigate the incidents, tangible results are rarely seen.

Israel has killed nearly 40,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 7 and is accused of genocide by the International Court of Justice because of its military action.
