Buffalo Trace appears in Paris for the Olympic Games

Buffalo Trace appears in Paris for the Olympic Games

The famous Buffalo Trace distillery is setting up shop in Paris this summer with its famous whisky, but only for a limited time. Following the success of the London branch of the world’s most awarded distillery, this pop-up store located at 36 rue Etienne Marcel in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris marks its second location outside the United States.

This is no ordinary pop-up shop, however, as they will not only be selling classic and sought-after Buffalo Trace whiskeys such as Eagle Rare, but also exclusive Paris-themed products. Most notably, it will offer select fans of the distillery access to a private Weller-themed lounge for some of the first tastings of the new and ultra-rare Weller Millennium.

With Buffalo Trace Distillery in Paris open until August 23, it’s the perfect escape for whisky lovers to experience the luxury of Buffalo Trace amidst the excitement of Paris as it hosts the Olympic Games.

Ed Bell, local manager of Buffalo Trace Distillery, said: “We know there will be an increase in foot traffic in town in July and August, and our prime location will give visitors an excuse to go beyond the sporting and cultural events during their stay in town.”

Weller’s bespoke themed lounge, titled 12 gold coins, is the highlight of this place with its exclusive, invitation-only access for the most discerning whisky lovers.

Inside 12 gold coinsyou will be able to sample a range of Weller expressions in a private tasting, including a serving of the coveted Weller Millennium. From July 26th to August 11th, this unique opportunity will be available to those who register for a chance to win.

After your shopping and private tasting, head to the Experimental Cocktail Club Paris (ECC) at 37 rue Saint Sauveur. From July 26 to August 10, bartenders from all over France are hosting two-week residencies to create designer cocktails around Weller 12.

The Paris pop-up follows the recent opening of Buffalo Trace’s first permanent boutique outside the US, in London. The boutique, located in Covent Garden, also offers a sensory insight into the distillery’s portfolio. Two exclusive tasting experiences at the location can be pre-booked online, allowing customers to savour the taste of Kentucky.
