2 injured in 2 separate weekend shootings in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Police are investigating two shootings that occurred over the weekend.

In the first case, a 15-year-old boy was injured on Mapleridge Avenue early Saturday morning.

Police responded to the shooting in the first block of Mapleridge shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday. The teen was transported to ECMC, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The second happened in the 2000 block of South Park Avenue around 9:15 Saturday evening. Police said a 31-year-old man was shot while outside in connection with some type of argument or argument with others.

The man was also transported to ECMC, where he is listed in stable condition.

Both shootings remain under investigation. Anyone with information on either is asked to call or text the confidential TIPCALL line at 716-847-2255.
