Person hit by subway in Brooklyn, R line partially closed: MTA

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A person was struck by a subway train in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, causing a portion of the R line to be closed, according to the MTA.

According to the MTA, the person was struck on 53rd Street. R train service has been suspended in Brooklyn between 36th Street and Bay Ridge Avenue-95th Street.

The final stop for some southbound ‌R‌ trains will be ‌Jay St-MetroTech‌, according to the MTA.

Train N runs on line D between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and 36 St in both directions. The last stop for some northbound N trains is 8 Avenue.

For travel between 36 Street and Bay Ridge-95 Street, the MTA recommends taking the B37 bus along 3rd Avenue or the B63 bus along 5th Avenue.

A person was also struck by a subway train in Queens on Wednesday afternoon, causing delays on the No. 7 train, officials said.
