The Atlanta Airport is already beginning to prepare for Memorial Day and the start of the summer travel season

Officials at the world’s busiest airport said they are preparing for what appears to be a busy travel weekend that is just a few weeks away.

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport executives and aviation industry officials will hold a briefing Tuesday morning to talk about Memorial Day weekend travel and the start of the summer season.

According to airport information, they will cover preparations and give recommendations to passengers to facilitate air navigation during the busy travel week, May 22-29.

Hartsfield-Jackson officials said they expect 2.5 million passengers to pass through Atlanta during spring break.

Staff members from the airport, the Atlanta Police Department, the American Automobile Association and the Transportation Security Administration will be at the briefing to discuss holiday-related topics, such as safety, safety, passenger volume and time-saving tips, according to airport officials.
