Frazee man dies after being trapped under farm equipment in rollover accident

A Frazee man was killed in a tragic farm accident.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday evening, the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an accident involving an overturned piece of farm equipment that trapped the driver. The accident occurred along Wadena County Road 30 in Section 13 of Bullard Township, east of Wahoo Valley and north of Staples.

Police, firefighters and medical personnel arrived at the scene and found the front loader lying upside down in the ditch. 79-year-old John Berger was found trapped under the machine and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
