Death investigation underway in Beardstown | Top Stories

BEARDSTOWN, Ill. (WAND) – Illinois State Police are investigating a suspicious death in Beardstown.

Illinois State Police said officers were called to the 1400 block of Clay Street in Beardstown on Friday.

When police arrived, they found a dead man in a vehicle near the home.

According to the ISP, there are no known security concerns for the public related to this incident.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, in Springfield.

It may take several weeks for the results of the autopsy and toxicology examination to be available.
