Pvolve signs franchise agreements in Atlanta, San Francisco

The functional fitness brand continues to open franchises across the United States at an impressive pace

Pvolve, the functional fitness franchise that combines low-impact movements and resistance training, has two new homes and inks deals in Atlanta and San Francisco.

The brand announced plans to open its first-ever studio in Atlanta at the end of the month, adding to its already impressive list of locations. Pvolve member Amber Jackson joins us to help launch the new studio just a few years after beginning her journey with the brand as a client.

“My first class at Pvolve was like nothing I had ever experienced,” Jackson recalls. “It was a fantastic workout, gentle, but impactful on my body. But what really stood out to me was the incredible community – a network of supportive women pushing each other to be their best. That’s why I knew I had to bring Pvolve to Atlanta. This city deserves a fitness experience focused on empowerment and wellness.

“It’s an honor to work alongside Amber at this new location,” added Julie Cartwright, President of Pvolve. “She is a true champion of our mission to educate people on the idea that your fitness routine doesn’t need to be punishing to be effective. His business acumen and concern for operational excellence will undoubtedly make this studio successful.

Pvolve also announced the arrival of two studios in the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing in local entrepreneur Venetia Vonic. Vonic also started as part of Pvolve before becoming a franchisee at two new locations, one of which is expected to debut in Walnut Creek later this fall.

“After suffering from a back injury last year, I doubted whether fitness would play the same role in my life as before,” Vonic said. “But once I discovered Pvolve and started exploring the library of functional workouts they offer on-demand, I started feeling better than ever before. So much so that I wanted to start taking their studio classes – only to discover that the brand didn’t yet exist in San Francisco. So I decided to change that, for everyone’s benefit.

Pvolve opened its first franchise location last year in San Diego, but had already sold more than 40 locations as of March. Much of this success can be attributed to the brand’s unique functional fitness workouts, which have found particular success with women aged 40 or older. A recent study found that Pvolve workouts are more effective for lower body health than 150 minutes per week of moderate cardiovascular and strength training for middle-aged and older women.

These benefits attracted Jennifer Aniston, who became involved with the brand as a member before joining as an advisor on marketing, product and programming strategies in 2023. Pvolve recently launched a collection of gear and training session organized by the famous actress.
