Children’s Hospital Atlanta patients and their families enjoy annual butterfly release

Patients at Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta celebrated Mother’s Day in advance with their mothers by releasing butterflies into the hospital garden each year.

On Thursday, May 9, families gathered in the garden and marveled at the beauty of the butterflies.

This was made possible by Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators, which has supported Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for more than 20 years.

Arrow has hosted the butterfly release several times since 2017.

In addition to releasing butterflies, they provided patients with materials to complete insect-themed coloring books.
