Warning: Beaches in SD County are subject to closures and water contact warnings

San Diego County health officials released an updated list of closures and warnings for the county’s beaches on Saturday.

Due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards, water contact restrictions have been imposed at the following locations:

– Silver Strand Shoreline, seashore from North Carnation to South Avenida Lunar;

– Imperial Beach Shorelines, seashore from the south end of Seacost Drive to north of Carnation Avenue;

– Tijuana Slough Shoreline, seashore of the U.S.-Mexico border, including Border Field State Park and Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge.

In addition, water contact warnings have been issued for the following locations because bacteria levels exceed health standards:

— La Jolla, children’s pool;

— La Jolla, Avenida De La Playa;

— La Jolla, La Jolla Cove beach area;

— Coronado, Lunar Avenue;

– Ocean Beach, Dog Beach – outlet of the San Diego River 300 feet south.
