Man found shot to death after car crashes into gas pumps on Creekbend Drive

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that led to a car crashing into a gas pump.

Police say just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday evening, a car crashed into the gas pumps at a gas station in the 8100 block of Creekbend Drive in Houston.

Police say the call came in as an accident, but it was when officers arrived on scene that they located a man in his late 30s to early 40s dead in the seat of the driver of the vehicle, injured by gunfire.

Police are working to obtain video and images from stores surrounding the shooting. They do not yet know the circumstances of the shooting or the direction from which the car came.

Witnesses say they heard the crash but did not see what happened, but they did see a possible black man dressed in black running from the scene.
