6 people arrested in connection with a series of car thefts in the Louisville Metro

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – LMPD announced the arrest of six suspects believed to be responsible for a series of car thefts. They may also be connected to cases in other counties.

Yesterday, two suspects were arrested for leading police on a 130 mph chase in a stolen vehicle. These suspects are Deonte Bass and Desmond Carney. Now, LMPD announces the arrest of four more suspects.

These four are Dmontray Ford, Truth Martin, Chrisaunel Lambirth and a fourth suspect who is a minor.

Police believe all six are connected to a string of car and gun thefts in the Louisville area and beyond, with Middletown police and Oldham, Spencer and Bullitt County law enforcement also involved.

These suspects are also linked to the car thefts in Norton Commons and Glen Oaks.

According to LMPD, the suspects know no boundaries and have stolen in neighborhoods throughout the greater Louisville area.
