Hale Baseball resumes split with Atlanta | Sports

HALE – The Hale baseball team managed to get into the win column last week. The Eagles were hosting Atlanta in a North Star League Little Dipper doubleheader, and although they lost the first game 16-2, they bounced back with an 18-5 victory – their first of the year.

Atlanta pitcher Blake King proved difficult to hit for the Eagles in Game 1, propelling the Huskies to victory in that one. Wyatt Irwin took the loss for Hale.

In game two, Sam Patten pitched for the Eagles and was effective enough to lead the team to victory.

Statistics were not provided for either competition.

Hale hosted Charlton Heston Academy on Tuesday in its Division 4 district opener, with the remainder of the tournament taking place in Alcona on Friday.
