Driver uninjured after accident in Mount Holly

MOUNT HOLLY – On July 28, at approximately 1:34 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 103 near the intersection with Markwell Lane.

Joseph Dandrea, 77, of Morris Plains, New Jersey, was driving a 2023 Lexus NX south when he lost control of his vehicle, left the road and collided with a railing.

The vehicle then drove into a ditch and crashed into a tree, causing significant damage to the front.

Despite the violent impact, Dandrea was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries at the scene of the accident.

The vehicle broke down and had to be towed by Benny’s Towing.

Authorities, including Mt Holly Fire Department and Ludlow Rescue, responded to the scene.

At the time of the incident, the weather was clear and the roads were dry.

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Vermont State Police.
