One person dies after plane crash in Youngstown

One person has died after a plane crash in Youngstown.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the single-engine Cessna 208B aircraft belongs to Skydive the Falls.

Sheriff’s officials said that around 11:40 a.m. Saturday, 911 received a call about a small plane crash near Fort Niagara. A fire at the crash site was extinguished by first responders.

The FAA was notified and the NTSB launched a formal investigation.
