Fatal accident in Fairfield County – WHIZ

Fairfield County, Ohio – A motorcyclist is killed in an accident in Fairfield County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Jared Ross of Williamsport was killed Monday. The crash occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on U.S. 22 and Amanda Northern Road.

Authorities said Ross was riding his motorcycle eastbound on U.S. 22 when a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Robert Johnson II of Newark crossed the center line and collided head-on with the motorcycle.

Authorities said Ross was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
