Services at Cleveland City Hall are unavailable on Thursday and Friday

CLEVELAND – Cleveland officials have announced that city services at City Hall will not be open to the public Thursday and Friday after the building reopened Wednesday following a cyber incident.

City officials said they had “some expected issues” with their systems after reopening Wednesday. City Hall employees were allowed back into the building on Wednesday to figure out which systems weren’t working. They will also be allowed back in on Thursday and Friday.

On Sunday, officials confirmed for the first time that it was a “cyber incident” whose cause has not yet been disclosed due to ongoing investigations. City Hall was closed on Monday and Tuesday because of the incident.

Residents are asked to either call 311 for more information or use online services in the meantime.

“We ask for the public’s patience as the city continues to attempt to restore system access and recover from the incident in a safe and strategic manner,” the city said in a statement. “Due to the nature of the city’s investigation, we are unable to provide additional details at this time. We will continue to provide regular updates as they become available.”
