Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs talks about what excites him most, upcoming season

The Houston Texans relaunched this offseason for another deep run to the playoffs by adding talent and veteran leadership to their offense and defense. One of those plays came in a trade with the Buffalo Bills, in which they acquired star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was looking for a fresh start after years of faltering in the playoffs.

Diggs will be entering his 10th season in the NFL and adds a ton of experience to this Texas team and wide receiver room. Diggs will come in immediately and demand one of the starting spots next to Nico Collins and Tank Dell and during his media interview, Diggs expressed what excites him most about being with this team and what he most looking forward to this upcoming season. .

“Just the guys I’ve been around. Obviously the quarterback position, it’s the guy on the receiving end,” Diggs said. “Congrats to Nico (Collins) too, he gets paid and works a lot as well. I watched him on tape before I got here. He’s definitely one of the best receivers we have.”

“Tank (Dell), obviously, you know, I’ve known Tank for a while now. He’s like a little brother. And little (John) Metchie, he just hangs out with the guys, is with the team and builds “I’ve been in the league for a while now, so being around a good group of guys is always a breath of fresh air.”

Building chemistry is essential for a new player on a new team, and it appears Diggs is fully invested in the guys he’ll suit up with on Sunday. Diggs has been controversial during his career, but he seems to be buying into DeMeco Ryans’ mindset now that he’s getting a fresh start.

Diggs is coming off another solid season that saw him make 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and 8 touchdowns. He will look to bring his stability and playmaking ability to Houston, but with so many mouths to feed his stats, his stats may not reflect the true impact he will have on the team in 2024.
