One dead, two injured in North Memphis shooting, police say | News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in north Memphis Saturday night, police said.

Memphis police responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Hawthorne Street at 8:38 p.m

According to police, when they arrived at the scene they found three people with gunshot wounds.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two other people were taken to the hospital and one person was in critical condition, police said.

Police reported that preliminary information indicated that the suspect and victim knew each other.
