A two-vehicle accident closed Forty Foot Road in both directions in Towamencin Saturday evening

A Towamencin Township Police SUV sustained major damage to the driver’s side after it was involved in a collision with a white Ford Super Duty pickup truck at the intersection of Forty Foot and Detwiler roads Saturday evening.

One person was transported to an area hospital by the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale. Their gender, age and condition are unknown at this time.

Forty Foot Road was closed in both directions between the entrance to Morgandale and Towamencin Avenue. Detwiler Road is closed between the intersection and the entrance to Dock Mennonite Academy.

Quarry Road remains open.

The accident occurred at 7:14 p.m

The Towamencin Municipality Police were assisted at the scene by Towamencin Vol. Fire Co. and Harleyville Fire Police.
