1 dead and 1 seriously injured in hit-and-run in Oakland and San Francisco

At least one person died and another was seriously injured in hit-and-run accidents in Oakland and San Francisco just hours apart.

The first hit-and-run accident ended fatally and occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lombard Street and Gough Street in San Francisco.

San Francisco police officers arrived at the scene to find a man with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car. The man died at the scene, police said.

The officers did not give a description of the suspect vehicle.

The second hit-and-run accident occurred around 1:15 a.m. in Oakland in the 2600 block of 73rd Avenue.

Police initially responded to the scene of the accident after receiving reports of an unconscious person lying in the area.

Officers’ investigation revealed that the person’s injuries were consistent with a car accident.

They were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Police have not provided any update on their condition.

According to police, it is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident in Oakland.
