Man arrested for stabbing brother in Mount Hope home

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A 27-year-old man was arrested after stabbing his 23-year-old brother multiple times during a physical altercation at their home on Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred just before noon in the 3900 block of Broadway when the two brothers got into an argument that turned violent. The younger brother was stabbed about eight times but was able to escape the house to get help, according to San Diego police.

Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital where his injuries were treated and determined to be non-life threatening.

Detectives from the Southeastern Division arrived at the scene and are conducting an investigation. The motive for the fight is still unclear.
