New Owners for Buffalo Tavern as Calvaneso Repairs His Wallet

BUFFALO, N.Y. — As business picks up at his new restaurant, Steve Calvaneso is selling another part of his portfolio in Amherst.

Bogie’s Bar & Grill at 4414 Bailey Ave. will pass to new owners Chris Gullion and John Zeman of Saranac Lake Emporium LLC, who plan to keep things as they are, aside from the name change to Bogie’s Tavern.

“We are big fans of the neighborhood tavern, especially in our area – we both live in the neighborhood,” Gullion said.

It’s part of a deal that includes both the business and the 2,680-square-foot building, which includes parking on both sides of the building. Calvaneso, owner of Ultimate Restaurant Group, says it’s a simple real estate sale for $450,000, with the business to be sold once the new liquor license is obtained. Closing is scheduled for June 24.
