Gary Kubiak to Introduce Andre Johnson to Hall of Fame

Gary Kubiak, who coached the Texans from 2006 to 2013, will present Johnson for induction during the Aug. 3 induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio, the Hall of Fame announced Tuesday. The presenter introduces the winner by video and joins him on stage to unveil his bronze bust.

Johnson and Kubiak had a successful partnership together, with Johnson leading the NFL in receptions twice (2006, 2008) after Kubiak’s arrival and twice leading the league in receiving yards (2008, 2009). Johnson was a first-team All-Pro selection in both of those seasons.

Here are the other presenters of this year’s inductees:

• Dwight Freeney, defensive end: Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay.

• Randy Gradishar, linebacker: his former Broncos teammate Tom Jackson.

• Devin Hester, kick returner/receiver: his mother Juanita Brown.

• Steve McMichael, defensive tackle: Longtime friend Jarrett Payton, son of former Bears teammate Walter Payton.

• Julius Peppers, defensive end: Longtime friend and agent Carl Carey.

• Patrick Willis, linebacker: His sister Ernicka Willis.
