Teacher arrested after allegations of child abuse in Coconut Creek

COCONUT CREEK, Florida. – A teacher at Monarch High School in Coconut Creek has been accused of child abuse.

Broward Sheriff’s Office records show Christopher Cagle of Deerfield Beach was in Fort Lauderdale Main Jail on Friday.

Coconut Creek police arrested him Thursday. According to a Local 10 News source, the alleged abuse occurred at the school, 5050 Wiles Road.

Broward County court records show Cagle faces a charge of third-degree child abuse without serious bodily injury.

District Judge Ernest A. Kollra was scheduled to preside over the case.
